Buying a used wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV) can be a bit of a challenge. It is an essential purchase, it must be reliable and safety is always a priority.
So how, exactly, does GowringsVersa refurbish a used Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle?
Andy Fisher, our Used & AfterSales Service Supervisor explains.
“Before GowringsVersa offers a used WAV for sale, it is fully checked and refurbished in our factory. The initial check covers every aspect of the vehicle itself as well as the wheelchair conversion including seatbelts and fittings, electric belts, winch, and straps, ramp, wiring and hydraulics. Any worn fittings are stripped out and replaced.
It is rechecked after refurbishment, and before entering stock. And checked again, prior to sale. One in four of our vehicles is also checked by the RAC.”
