Gowrings Mobility drives further growth with the acquisition of Bristol Street Versa
Berkshire based Gowrings Mobility, part of the Newship Group and one of the leading UK Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle specialists in the UK, is taking another important step to grow its business and provide a wider vehicle range and service with the acquisition of the Bristol Street Versa business from Bristol Street Fourth Investments Limited (part of the Vertu Motors group) on 30th November 2020. This follows on from the acquisition of O&H Mobility and Adapted Vehicle Hire Limited last year.
It is intended that the sales, manufacturing, engineering and aftersales activities of the highly regarded Bristol Street Versa business based in Batley and Widnes will be fully integrated with Gowrings and going forward will service its combined customer base as Gowrings Versa Mobility.
Bristol Street Versa www.bristolstreetversa.com has established itself as a premium quality brand in the Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle market. All of the existing staff will transfer with the business and the team will continue to provide the highest levels of service to new and renewing customers. Gowrings Mobility recognises the importance of continuity and maintaining excellent customer service, and so the same UK manufacturing facility will supply all existing customers with vehicle and spare parts support.
As part of the acquisition, Gowrings Mobility will further establish itself across the UK, enabling the combined businesses to provide new, used and rental accessible vehicles to customers nationwide.
